Introductory Management Programme

Programmes dates for 2012 are:

(Previously provided by New Zealand College of Management)

  • 16 – 18 April New Plymouth
  • 6 – 8 August Hawkes Bay
  • 5 - 7 November Wellington

This interactive three-day programme provides a set of practical skills for people who are in, or about to assume, their first full management role. They may be newly appointed, or have spent a number of years in the job, but would still benefit from developing their management skill base.

Programme participants may have been appointed to a management role because of excellent technical skills, but have little or no formal management training.

The outcome of this introductory programme will be to provide the techniques and knowledge needed to get the best from staff, and will give each participant a sound framework of other management topics from which to approach future challenges with confidence.
